first_img Wolfsburg playmaker Kevin De Bruyne 1 Kevin De Bruyne has admitted he was wrong to join Chelsea.The Belgium international moved to Stamford Bridge in January 2012, arriving from Genk for £7million.However the attacking midfielder failed to nail down a first-team spot at Chelsea and was sold two years later for £18m to Wolfsburg.De Bruyne has thrived on the pitch since joining the Bundesliga outfit, with 11 goals and 15 assists in 29 games for the second-place Die Wolfe this season.And the 23-year-old has now confessed that it was perhaps a bad idea to join Chelsea when he did.“The decision to move to Chelsea was not the best,” De Bruyne told Sport Bild.“The club are a different world and Mourinho never told me why I was not playing.“Maybe it would have all gone differently if Chelsea had paid €45m for me instead of €8m.“I might have received more consideration if my transfer fee was higher.”last_img read more
