However, any golfer knows how hard it can be to master this sport. Perfecting your shots can become even more challenging if you are a woman, as you have to be extra careful about your posture and the power you put behind your swings. Whether you are new to golf or have been playing it since you were a toddler, improving your swings should always be at the forefront of your mind. Don’t worry though, if you keep missing, because after trying the following tips you will go from an amateur to a pro in no time!Assess Your SkillsThe first thing you should do to improve your swing is to know where you currently stand as a golfer. Generally speaking, there are 4 tiers of golfers: low handicap, mid-low handicap, high-mid handicap, and high handicap players. By taking a look at how often you miss your shots, you will be able to gauge your current skill level. Why is it important to know this? Because your level has a direct effect on the type of equipment you need in order to improve. For instance, low handicap golfers usually go for thin clubs. On the other hand, we recommend that you invest in a cavity-back or hybrid club if you are a high handicap player.Work on Your PostureMany variables go into perfecting your swing, but none are as important as your posture. It can be especially hard for women to get in the correct position when taking swings. According to the tips at TheLeftRough.com, you must keep your feet shoulder-width apart and make sure that your arms are hanging low, creating a K shape with your club. Avoid hunching your shoulders or twisting your wrists when swinging for the best results. To make sure that you do not lose your posture, take your time to adjust it before swinging.Control Your BreathingSome golfers recommend that players hold their breath when hitting the ball. However, this will just make your body tense up and affect your accuracy. In this regard, you can try different breathing techniques that might help you improve your swings. For beginners, we recommend the “deep breathing” technique. To start, take a deep breath and hold it for 4-5 seconds while you raise your club. When you lower the club to hit the ball, release the breath. You will notice that you can put more force behind your swings this way. So, if you believe that your swings lack power, give this method a go.Grip the Club ProperlyThe way you hold your club has much bearing on how good your golf swings are. To grip the club properly, start with placing your non-dominant hand on the grip area, making sure not to cover the very top of the handle. Your thumb should be resting comfortably on the handle to support your swing. When you are sure that your non-dominant hand is placed perfectly, use your dominant one to grip the other side of the handle. You also need to use the fleshy part of your dominant hand, the area right under the thumb, to cover the thumb of your non-dominant hand. Finally, keep your grip on the club firm but not too firm to the point of squeezing it.Visualize the ShotTo hit your shot every time, you must visualize a line between the ball and the hole. It may be tempting to move your head mid-swing to see how good your shot is, but we strongly advise you to resist this urge because it will negatively impact your posture, causing you to miss. Instead, keep your head hanging a bit low and don’t let the ball out of the line of your vision when you swing.PracticeThe easiest way to improve your swing is to keep practicing. If you are a member of a golf club, you should practice putting twice a week. On the other hand, you can purchase a small putting green and practice at home in case you cannot afford full membership. You may also look for a public golf course in your area. These courses are always free, albeit hard-to-find.Improving your golf swing is not as hard as it seems. By getting the right equipment, correcting your posture, and practicing regularly, you will be able to enhance your skills in a matter of weeks. If you need some motivation, you can grab a friend or find golf enthusiasts in your area and head to the nearest course.
Servicers Navigate the Post-Pandemic World 2 days ago Home / Daily Dose / Bipartisan Bill Tackles Robocalls and Debt Collection Energy and Commerce Chairman Frank Pallone, Jr. and Ranking Member Greg Walden have unveiled the bipartisan Stopping Bad Robocalls Act.“Americans deserve to be free of the daily danger and harassment of robocalls,” Pallone and Walden said in a statement. “It’s time we end the robocall epidemic and restore trust back into our phone system. We’re pleased to announce we’ve reached a deal on comprehensive bipartisan legislation to stop illegal robocalls.”“The bipartisan Stopping Bad Robocalls Act offers consumers a way out by ensuring that every call they get is verified,” Pallone and Walden continued. “Americans should be able to block robocalls in a consistent and transparent way without being charged extra for it. Our legislation also gives the FCC and law enforcement the authority to enforce the law and quickly go after scammers. We look forward to moving this bill through the Communications and Technology Subcommittee next week.”The New York Times reports that the bipartisan bill came a month after “the Senate overwhelmingly approved separate anti-robocall legislation to respond to constituent furor over unwanted calls.” NYT notes that consumer advocates believe the Senate action didn’t go far enough, though it is one of several steps being taken to curb robocalls and “autodialers.”In May, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) to implement the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). According to the CFPB, the proposal would provide consumers with clearer protections against harassment by debt collectors, including robocalls. For mortgage servicers and other debt collectors, these outlines require a closer look. The National Mortgage Servicing Association (NMSA) last year wrote a letter to the to the Federal Communications Commision (FCC), outlining their suggestions for changes to regulations imposed by the TCPA. One suggestion involved a re-examination of the definition of an “autodialer.” For example, the NMSA proposed that it should be made clear that the definition of an autodialer does not include dialing from a list, and that the technology used must involve both generating a phone number in random or sequential order and calling that generated number. in Daily Dose, Featured, Government, News Demand Propels Home Prices Upward 2 days ago Governmental Measures Target Expanded Access to Affordable Housing 2 days ago Related Articles Demand Propels Home Prices Upward 2 days ago Bipartisan Bill Tackles Robocalls and Debt Collection Debt Collection Robocalls Servicers 2019-06-21 Seth Welborn The Week Ahead: Nearing the Forbearance Exit 2 days ago Previous: Home Sales Data for May Reveals Positive Outlook Next: New Digital Lending Experience Launched by Two Companies Data Provider Black Knight to Acquire Top of Mind 2 days ago Servicers Navigate the Post-Pandemic World 2 days ago The Best Markets For Residential Property Investors 2 days ago Share Save Governmental Measures Target Expanded Access to Affordable Housing 2 days ago Seth Welborn is a Reporter for DS News and MReport. Washington, D.C.-based rock band Bencoolen will celebrate the release of their debut album, Daydream, when the 10-song LP arrives independently tomorrow, March 8th. Ahead of the album’s Friday release, the band has decided to share the new project with their fans a day early, as Daydream is now available to be streamed exclusively here on Live For Live Music. The album, which can be heard in full below, features a mix of strong rock performances from the young band, which were captured during their recording sessions at Dragon’s Lair Studios in West Virginia. The band’s bassist, Ben Suarez, detailed his thoughts on the process of their first album cycle in a statement, saying:“We were really thrilled at the chance to go record a full-length album in the West Virginia hills. Not a lot of people are putting out full albums right now in rock music, but we wanted to showcase our songwriting versatility. Rock, pop, blues and soul influences intermingle on the album, carried by punchy vocals and shredding solos. We had contributions from everyone, and debut songwriting credits for Jack and me.Dragon’s Lair Studios is a hidden gem, tucked away on an unpaved road with no neighbors in earshot. Producer Addison Smith and owner Chuck “C-Wired” Whyard made us feel right at home. Jack [Bentsen, Saxophone]] fell in love with Cleo the studio cat, and we cut like 5-6 of the tracks that first night. We were all so stoked to be there and didn’t want to stop tracking! We’ve been sharing some of these songs on the road for some time now, and the reaction has been incredible. The anthemic chorus on ‘Daydream’ is sure to rile up any party, and the layers and layers of biting guitars throughout displayed our weeklong motto of ‘More is More.’”Bencoolen – Daydream (Full Album Stream)[Audio: Bencoolen SoundCloud]The band will head back out on the road for a run of headlining spring tour dates mixed in with a handful of shows supporting CBDB and Willie Nile beginning on March 15th in Greensboro, NC. Fans can head over to the band’s website for full listing of upcoming dates and ticketing information.
